Signature Style News: February 2021

So, it’s been awhile.

First, what I’ve been up to. I have a new website. If you visit, you will see much of what I have been working on: a MicroMasters in Instructional Design, a new logo I built myself, plus new virtual style coaching discoveries and tools.

What you won’t see is the struggle behind it all. This time last year I was looking for a J-O-B (to become part of a team endeavor). Being an extravert, my big struggle in life has been energy management; I love working on deeply creative projects, but I need the human connection to power it!

Anyway, long story short, Corona changed all that in an instant (well, a few short months). The hero works from home now and that is literally enough to make all the difference in my ability to focus!

More personal stuff later; on to Signature Style …

Signature Style News

Here are some things I’ve been chewing on lately:

  • Statement coats as pandemic-inspired trend, via Pop Fashion Podcast. I have never done as much winter socializing outdoors as I have this year!
  • Doing away with the outdated value of never being seen twice in the same outfit. Interesting article in Fast Company, which I found via Morning Brew.
  • I couldn’t be happier to see the return of coordinated outfits predicted by Pinterest. DIY coordinations have been the style standard for a really long time, but done-for-you coordinations have many practical benefits!

That’s it for now! I’d love to hear from you: leave a comment and tell me what’s new with you!

Btw, did you know I have a newsletter? It only comes out about once a month and the above was adapted to the blog from the February 2021 edition, which you can see in full (and subscribe) here.
