What to Wear in the Pool to Protect Your Feet

Last summer I learned the hard way that playing in the pool is hard on your feet. The bottom is covered with some sort of scratchy coating that must be to keep people from slipping, but it really tears your feet up. Especially when trying to exit the vortex, aka whirlpool.

Not to make anyone feel bad, but I feel really blessed that the public aquatic center about a mile from my house has two big slides, two little kid slides, the whirlpool, a walk-in area for littles, a diving area, and plenty of room to swim. And it’s free. When my kids were little, it was a basic pool; kids were free, but parents had to pay. So, I sat in the shade with a book or a friend while the kids went swimming.

So I bought myself some water shoes (aqua socks?). And they lasted a few swims before they were completely thrashed. ?

Then I bought myself another pair. And the season ended. But this year I went to the pool several times a week for the entire season. And the water socks look exactly the same now as they did when I started ?

If you don’t want to have to rebuy water shoes this season or risk having your feet torn up, BUY THESE (yes, this is an affiliate link and if you use it I may get a small commission ?).
