Color is not new, but it is certainly the big story of 2013. We are, most of us, loving and wearing brighter colors than we have for a long time. I mean, how many of us have felt pressured in former times to conform to the sophistication of a well-executed neutral?

Strategies for working saturated colors into your wardrobe:
- combine them. Either in prints or solids. Or colorblocking.
- pair with black and gray together.
- create a spin on a monochromatic look with less and more saturated variations of the same hue.
- wear with white. Or metallic used as neutral. Or black and white.
Those are just a few that I think are useful. Some feel more modern than others. In my book, being modern is great, but it is always subordinate to being pretty. 🙂
