No Peek is Chic!

microfiber_thumb.jpgHomeschooling mom Robin Lucas came up with the idea for Chic Peeks after losing her mother-in-law to cancer last year. She wore her favorite black dress to the funeral which happened to be very low cut. She used the good ‘ole “safety pin method” to close the decolletage so it wouldn’t show too much of “the girls”. When she got home after a long day, she had pin holes in the fabric and it was absolutely ruined!

Chic Peeks are adhesive blouse fronts used to conceal cleavage peek-a-boos when wearing low cut tops and dresses.  My only caveat would be to choose the cotton or micro-fiber over the lace; I suppose there could be an instance where the lace would look appropriate, but generally speaking, IMO, it looks like underwear.

Here’s how Chic Peeks work:

1. Peel- Peel open the Chic Adhesive strips

2. Press- Firmly Press the Chic Adhesive strips into your favorite Chic Peek

3. Position- Carefully Position your favorite Chic Peek into the decolletage at the desired height

4. Place- Place your Chic Peek by firmly pressing your garment decolletage onto your Chic Peek and smile

Congratulations to Robin and her sisters for launching a creative solution to a common problem!

  1. Wow – what I good idea! I’ve done the same thing, but with triangles of fabric hand-stitched on from the inside. I would still go with that for something permanent, but this is a nice temporary solution that would work with several outfits. Great for if you don’t have time to sew in that extra fabric, too.

  2. It’s a great idea! I usually wear a cami if I am at all worried about appropriateness, but these would subtract a layer for the hot humid days of summer …

  3. Fabulous idea! I totally agree with Wendy…I wear LOTS of camis, but all those layers get so hot! I will definitely check these out.

  4. My grandmother used to pin embroidered hankies into places like that. 🙂

I wear a strappy sports bra that looks like a cami top to cut down on the layers. I think they are made by the Bally Gym people and you can find them at Sam’s Club. I have them in 6 or 8 colors.

  5. I ordered chic peeks on March 15 and still have not received my order! It is now July 30th!!!!! This is the worst company and customer service I have ever experienced.

  6. Thanks Thomas. We experienced a slight hiccup in our manufacturing after receiving over 46K hits to our site after a huge media storm over our great little product. We are also wrapping up negotiations with a large major (1500 stores) retailer and had to suspend Internet sales temporarily.
I thank you for emailing me and for your patience during this time of growth. We have changed manufacturers to keep up with future demand and have poised ourselves to be the market leader.
I have even personally hired a customer service firm to handle future shipments and to ensure my customers that they are important to me.
    Thanks again.
