Live Blogging from Creationfest

035.JPGLive blogging.  It’s not what I thought it would be.  For one, there’s no internet available on-site.

Creation Festival Northwest is a camping event, but since my parents live less than an hour away I am able to stay at their house (good food, nice showers, lovely lakeside accomodations). My computer will stay here too.

Yesterday may well be the sweatiest day of my life.

The first night line-up was awesome: Hawk Nelson, Superchick, worship leader Phil Wickham, speaker Justin Lookadoo (yes, that is his real name), Jars of Clay, and Relient K. Followed by late night comedy by Nazareth.

Fashion topics I want to get back to:

  • Hawks:  mo-, faux, and Nelson
  • Wearing white!
  • Har-de, Har, Hars of Clay
  • and more

Notice my new bag?  I probably paid too much for it; $15 at the thrift store.  I know little about it:  the exterior looks great; the interior has very little wear but doesn’t look especially high quality; the label says: genuine leather, made in Brazil, and Guy Laroche.  But it’s terribly practical!  One, when using a public restroom, or “honey bucket” like we have at Creation, the little bag part can sit right on my lap.  Two, when I was down in the front of the floor for Relient K last night, I had this little extra breathing space created by having the bag right in front of me.  He hee.

More later.

  1. You look very chic, Rebecca — and I really don’t think you overspent on the bag. If it works in such a circumstance, money well spent!!

  2. Thanks Wendy. I’m happy with it.

I sure miss all you beautiful people and am getting tired of being tired. But on the other hand, this is quite the adventure.

  3. Before you mentioned the bag, I was going to ask what it was–and I am *not* a bag person. The exterior looks very quality (from what I can tell) so I hardly think you overpaid.

  4. Thanks ambika! After using it for a few days, I am really happy with it. Everything just sits in there perfectly (no room for extras) and it fits much more easily in the car. I’m not much of a bag person, but I am really happy I found something summery that works for me.
