WFMW: Coffee Ice Cubes

I haven’t done a Works for Me Wednesday post in a long time, but this tip is too good to keep to myself.  And too simple.

Pour leftover coffee into ice cube trays.  Use the coffee ice cubes for summer iced coffee beverages or even just a glass of milk.  Yum!  🙂

And you know how some recipes call for a small amount of coffee?  Now I always have some on hand.

  1. I usually pop the leftover cup or half-cup in the fridge and save it for the next day to make a shaken iced coffee. With an automatic ice maker, I don’t usually use ice trays. But what a great idea!

  2. I think those things are the reason it took me so long to think of this. The ice trays I have saved to use for “recipes and leftovers” have just pretty much been clutter until now. 🙂

  3. I do this too! You can also pour the leftover coffee around acid loving plants (like tomatoes and geraniums). They will just love you for it!

  4. I’ve heard of this before, but haven’t tried it. I think it’s time I did! Hubby and I have iced coffee almost every afternoon/early evening.

  5. Oh.my.word. This is one of the best tips I think I’ve ever SEEN! Yes, I will be implementing this one…just as soon as I can get my grubby little hands on some ice trays. I seem to always have coffee left over, and I have to have a personal grieving ceremony each time I pour it down the drain. Oh, but to be frozen and reused…YAY! Thank you…you have made my day!
