TODAY: Each purchase you make helps us sew 10 masks for health care workers. For better, healthier days.
Initially, the prices may look a bit high, especially when compared to the typical fast fashion or thrifted items in my wardrobe. But seriously, t-shirts are the most challenging thing to buy on a budget: they may or may not last, you may or may not be able to find the color you are looking for, and they are often imperfect (or just plain worn out, if thrifting). And then there are all the ethical concerns …
Last fall I made the switch to organic cotton t-shirts, and other garments, from For Days. The quality is definitely there: everything I have gets worn and still looks brand new! Although I paid organic cotton prices, their secret sauce is a trade-in program: when, for any reason, I am done wearing something, I can order its replacement – for conventional cotton price! – and send back the old one to be recycled.
We are only a couple weeks from the official start of spring, so now I am checking in with my wardrobe and making sure I have what I need. I had two longer-sleeved, scoop-neck t-shirts (a “dressy” option, here in The Great Northwest), but the purple one felt more like an Autumn color and I wanted to swap it. There wasn’t a color I wanted, so I got white and I will dye it whatever color I want!
These are two of my favorite For Days pieces.
