Why are there different denominations in Christianity? One way of looking at it: Different groups tolerate different sins. In my church, for example, gluttony is much more socially acceptable than, say, wrath, to just choose an example from among the “seven deadly sins” (Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Wrath, Sloth , Envy, and Pride).
