Trinny and Susannah Diagnose America

Yesterday I picked this up for $1.99 at Goodwill. Looking at the price offered here I don’t feel bad telling you so.

So I’m taking the day off blogging to read.

Have a lovely day!

  1. You must — you MUST — share your views on T&S’s recommendation that businesswomen routinely wear fishnet stockings to work. I’d threaten to hold my breath until you do, but blue isn’t my best color.

  2. No kind of expert here but I can’t get over my bewilderment at women wearing fishnets to the office. I hear they are widely accepted in Britain and I also hear that they are on the way out… well, somewhere. I don’t like fishnets anywhere, for any occasion, other than the privacy of one’s bedroom, or if the work one is doing is on the street corner.

OTOH, I have to admit that I don’t like a lingerie/boudoir look anywhere in public at any time.. I dislike the camis that have lace or embroidery at the top and look like, to me, undershirts or slips.

I don’t like a lingerie look at night because I think it looks decadent. I don’t like it in the daytime because I think it screams, “Look at me! How sensual I really am!” Puts me in mind of the old saw that Those who can, do and those who can’t, talk about it.”

  3. Vildy – I completely agree with you. I just don’t like anything that looks like lingerie worn as clothes.

Wende – I’m so glad you asked, but I’ll just leave you with my hero’s comment when I shared your question with him: “it depends on what street corner she works on”. LOL

  4. THANK YOU.

When I brought up the fishnets on my blog, opinion was split, which really threw me, as the only hose I’d ever wear for work are approximately flesh-tone.
