Modest Swimwear for Young Ladies (June 2008)

Two things I notice about young ladies when it comes to swimsuits: one, they don’t like black, and two, they don’t like to spend $80. In addition, the young ladies I am acquainted with, and their mothers as well, are more modest than the majority of 50 year olds out there on the beach. So I just want to show some affordable, cute, and modest suits.

And a modesty tip for halter swimsuits: tie the top where you need it and then sew together!

  1. I think all of the suits you have pictured are adorable! However…I don’t particularly think those deep V-necks are modest. I know my DH wouldn’t let me wear something like that in public (granted this post is for “young ladies,” but still…). Just my thought.

  2. No point getting a suit you can’t wear! 😉

You are right, though, there are some young ladies who couldn’t wear any of those suits and be modest. Honestly, I never would have thought about it, since it wouldn’t be a problem, presuming the suit fit right (always a question mark), for either me or my friend who showed me the first suit.

Perhaps I should retitle this post “Modest Swimwear for Less Buxom Young Ladies”. lol

  3. I agree I don’t like the v-neck strictly because your constantly pulling. I don’t want to give my child the wrong messeage when she wears a swim suit are anything for that matter. I think a tanki type top with bottoms to match. Also have bright colors in these styles. Most parents don’t think when they encourage their young daughters to dress risky.
