Raging Rouge has done two “fashion labs”, trying on dozens of pink lipsticks and glosses and photographing them to share with us.
- Her favorites: The New Pink IS Pink!
- More sophisticated options: Pink, All Grown Up
With such a great layout, why should I do a fashion lab this week?
But I know I really want to get back to doing them, so leave a comment if you have an idea.
Sleeve length? That depends heavily on the thickness of one’s arms, though.
I know cap sleeves came up before, but there are other issues–like 3/4 sleeves. They tend to affect the apparent length of my shirts–maybe because they are long enough for my elbows to pull at the shoulders (and therefore the hem) but not long enough to emphasize how long my arms are.
Why not? We did one a long time ago, but there are lots of things about sleeve length besides arm coverage. Would you like to model?
I know the experts say that if you have short legs, pushing (is it pushing or pulling?) your sleeves up will make the legs look longer, but I’ve never considered how it would affect the apparent length of the shirt. I also have been thinking about shirt lengths and about how sleeve lengths affect the apparent body shape. Clearly that’s too much for one lab, but it’s a good start on ideas.
If you want to model, perhaps picture with the same pants (or whatever’s on bottom) several shirts which all measure the same length, but have different length sleeves: long sleeves, 3/4, maybe a short sleeve or half sleeve, and sleeveless. If you don’t want to do it, I can. After all, you did the hard work of coming up with an idea. 😉
