Last week I told you about the trauma of my first press conference. Thank you all for the encouragement! Unfortunately, in that moment I really didn’t have a chance to recover. The next artist was ushered in immediately.
Phil Wickham was wearing Chucks, black skinnies, and a deep v-neck black t-shirt with a cross pendant (sorry, my photographer had a technical malfunction — not the camera, the zipper of her purse got stuck in the lining).
When it came my turn to ask a question, I thought I’d stick with something rather light:
“What do you think we’ll all wear when we aren’t wearing Converse anymore?”
I wasn’t trying to stump the artist!
In the end, I think the 21-year-old singer, who himself projects a rather high-drama appearance, took it as a rhetorical question. As in: we will always wear Converse. Truthfully, the majority of the artists we saw in press conferences were wearing the black Chucks with the white rubber. One or two wore black on black.
If you are considering a pair for BTS, I say, “go for it!” Why not? You’re in good company.
And how do you think I should have answered when he turned the question back to me? What do you think’s next?
I love converse shoes. Or converse wanna-bes. I have several pairs, my favorite being a burnt orange pair. I used to wear them all of the time, but as I’ve gotten older, I only wear them when I’m going for a fun, or sporty look. I love that last pair you showed!
