First, a quick update on my inspiration for Teen Style Tuesdays. I realize now that my thinking was muddy because I hadn’t clearly identified whom I was addressing. For now, I plan to address my daughters’ peers in these Tuesday posts (but not to exclude anyone). So, ladies (my young friends), if you manage to find your way here, by invitation or via facebook, you are invited to contribute a picture of an outfit. 🙂
Next, the current edition of the fabulous! festival, including my post on using Accessories to Anchor Attention Around Your Face, is up at iCiNG. Thanks, Gala Darling!
Also, I wrote my recent post on gas prices especially for the Festival of Frugality, which is currently up at My Two Dollars. As usual, Jenn at Frugal Upstate (who’s hosting next week) has combed through the entries and posted highlights.
Finally, I am still debating with myself regarding this Friday’s Fashion Lab. But in the future, perhaps when I’m on vacation this summer, I’d like to do a “Real Fashion for Real People” project, as suggested by Alyson:
Using things that all of us wear, that we can afford, from places we actually shop, and for the lifestyle that we really have. What if you did this with each of the style types from your quiz? Have a volunteer from each style type work up an outfit or two from each lifestyle segment that they have – the only rule is that is had to come from someplace like the mall, Gap, Target, Ross, Kohl’s, thrift, eBay, etc. Just no major designer pieces that break the bank.
Please, whether you know for sure your style personality or not, consider volunteering for this event to be published mid-July. More to come!
Love the idea of the Real Fashion for Real People! I am already thinking on this!
Love the Real Fashion for Real People idea. I’m always game for participating.
