“Can I put pink duct tape on your shoes?”
“Sure.”
(Why not, right?)
Other stylin’ uses for duct tape:
- Purses: here’s instructions for a very stylish little striped number and here’s an easy one, more like a book bag.
- What to put in your purse? How about a duct tape wallet? The link goes to instructions for it, but I think my daughters figured it out for themselves by making …
- Bible covers. You’ve got to admit duct tape Bible covers are a brilliant idea – custom sized, sharpie design-able, and, best of all, protective! They’ve been a staple in our household for years.
- Shoes. Believe it or not, we knew a young man who, last spring, made flip flops entirely out of duct tape and wore them constantly. I’m not recommending it.
Done any creative duct tape projects lately?
I haven’t done any projects lately but did here about the stuck at prom contest ~~ http://www.ducktapeclub.com/contests/prom/ ~~ but Victoria wasn’t really interested.. maybe she thought it would be a sticky situation..HA… LOL…
Whoa – I had no idea there was pink duct tape!
I have no idea they made pink duct tape — how nifty!!!
No creative projects here. Although my husband works construction and they use duct tape as bandaids. Just slap it over a cut. Interesting. Or not.
It’s amazing all the colors they have now. Of course, a gift-giving favorite is camo. 😉
I had no idea it could be used for band-aids! I guess it makes sense – now they “stitch” people up with super glue. Some people, I understand, are sensitive to the adhesive, though.
Who knew???
The Kids at homeschool club had a duct tape fashion show. I wish I had pictures to share. My son made a nice top hat (purple and yellow). A few girls made really nice prom style dresses. I guess duct tape offers a scholarship contest for an entire outfit made of duct tape.
We’ve been making some creative designs at methowtime.com in a variety of colors. We’ve refined the design to make a wallet that will hold up well and has a great feel. We sell them locally at the Twisp Farmers Market (in North Central Washington), and selected styles are available from the website: http://www.methowtime.com. Glad to see others using tape in creative ways.
I just found this awesome instructional on how to make an argyle duct tape belt/bracelet! I’m going shopping today for some DT!! 🙂

I want one! (I’ll get back to you about the color.) 😉
What a fun post! I had a friend who made a duct tape tie — very cool. And another friend who made the duct tape Bible covers — his was black or grey (I can’t remember) and his fiance’s was lavender. This said friend offered (threatened?) to make his fiance’s wedding dress out of white duct tape. That didn’t happen — and we all rejoiced!
