What’s for dinner? Sadly, I have no idea. I keep thinking about garlic and butter, but remain perplexed.
But consider this: yesterday, in one hour, I bought a navy blazer (brand name) and lined wool skirt (also brand name) for myself, a cotton jacket for a friend and a t-shirt for a daughter, all of it in like-new condition, for $6.

I steamed asparagus and served it with garlic butter while we discussed dinner. Then we went and got Papa Murphy’s. Dug’s fave — for Valentine’s Day.
I will work on it. I’m not familiar with Super 1. We have recently switched to primarily local/organic (whenever possible) so I am experimenting with some new things.
Is it better for you if you can prep part of it earlier in the day? I grilled the chicken, chopped the romaine, and put them in a serving bowl with parmesan cheese before I left for work yesterday. All I had to do when I got home was toss in some croutons and dressing.
Depends on the day.
But I’m afraid the real problem is one of motivation. The reason I didn’t know what to make for dinner is because there literally wasn’t anything. (Often it will happen that there isn’t anything and at the eleventh-hour a fabulous dinner “materializes”.) I had just had too many other things I wanted or needed to do that weren’t grocery shopping.
Today is Thursday. After my 6:30 am prayer meeting, I will hit the stores.
Tonight: chicken tacos.
I wrote a nice long comment, but was tossed of the sight before I could send it.
Briefly, we had NY steak, baked potatoe with Land-o-lakes spread and lite sour cream, home-grown frozen green beans and garlic toast. Jack’s fave — for Valentine’s Day. I liked it, too.
Oh, I forgot, home-made Spaghetti sauce from home-grown frozen Roma tomatoe chunks and sauce on angle hair pasta with garlic bread, fruit jello for desert. Jack’s 2nd fave.
I would like to do Once A Month Cooking, but I haven’t managed it yet. However, I keep some ‘quick meal’ staples on hand. Frozen chicken cordon blue; Sam’s Club meatballs; pasta; pasta sauces; ingredients for nachos.
So, on a day w/out inspiration, I can put some baked potatoes and chicken cordon blue in the oven.

I have done the once a month cooking before, but the whole freeze/thaw thing eludes me.
And, anyway, now my freezer is usually full of clothes!
