Yes, you were one of the people I was thinking of when I put in that last sentence. ;)

I was out this morning shopping and found a couple of things, including a short-sleeved cashmere sweater for $9.99. I also found the cord to my daughter's camera, so hopefully I can get some pictures up this afternoon. :)

Hmmm, 50 and raining...That is winter weather here...Cute jeans and a pretty long sleeved or 3/4 sleeve shirt usually do the trick. Or skirt and tights. I find that's not as comfortable though, especially when chasing littles.

Color! I think what I need to look for is that cashmere cardi in a color that puts a "spring" in my step. lol. This year I have noticed that all through this early spring I have been craving green, and I love green and blue together. That's the color direction I'm thinking for spring now.

Have a wonderful day Sheri! At least we know how it all ends up! ;)

It's 28 degrees and lightly snowing--ugh!--this morning in upstate New York. I am wearing jeans, a long-sleeved t-shirt, and a cashmere cardigan in robin's egg blue--also a turquoise necklace, which makes me think of summer sun. I think I will hazard to wear clogs, instead of boots! :-) I can't wait until spring is really here.

Fir the best print tees ever see www.suvawear.com, and click on Custom Shirts. You might find them expensive but they last for ever. People try to buy them off my back.

Ha ha! Woke up today to 4 or 5 inches of accumulated snow! And I got my boots back out (not that I had put them very far away).

Christine nailed it: "It seems wrong to wear my woolies and boots, but I’m not ready for bare legs and flats." I think we talked about it somewhere here on the blog before, that 50 degrees is too warm for wool. It gets itchy. And Duchesse identified the other piece of the problem: "Where I get stuck is stockings- black opaque looks very wintry and nude is so uptight, and bare legs are not realistic yet…". My sister has been struggling with that as well. And one more thing, concerning skirts and dresses anyway: they stick to stockings, leggings, etc.

Solutions:

I like Imogen's skirt + leggings + ballet flats. If you wear skirts for "just get dressed".
Cashmere! It works for me, I can just put away my turtlenecks and look for some more colorful t-shirts like Duchesse's.
Skirts for spring need to be lined.

I'd love to hear what people think about print t-shirts, I can't imagine the Queen of Carrots looking old lady in them.

Christine, I'm going to Macy's next week. Hope I find something!

Wendy, I think new jeans would probably help me mentally, even though I don't strictly need them.

Ellem - thanks for the encouragement! We have had some beautiful days, and I actually like the snow.

EV - ah, but at least you got to thaw out in South America. Hope you post more pictures!

I love the irony of putting away your winter clothes specifically *because* it's snowing - we had a considerable winter storm here over the weekend, too.

Personally, I definitely need a few more long-sleeved Ts, and I'm working on the shoe situation. But then, we probably still have a few more weeks of days that top out

Today is the first warm day here (south Germany) since like September ! It's 20 degrees, and last week there had been snow on the ground...
I have tons of spring clothing, but almost nothing fits me now (7th month of pregnancy).
