Yes, I knew you would. ;)

And I wonder if, out here in the Great Northwest, there aren't just times when a person can't be appropriately dressed without the big belt buckle. lol

I have the same rule for my shorts now--at the knee looks grown up chic. I am so happy I made the decision to ditch anything shorter for street wear!

I bet that pink skirt was sensational on... except for the zipper. I'm not a fan of that. Makes me think of the sparkly words across the tush.

I like the green top very much. The neckline has the loose relaxed style, without the frump which some of the poofier ones.

Given your comeback, I'd be avoiding buying dowdy, and I have to say that brown skirt was dowdy and ended at a part of your legs that make them look chunky, which they're not, and the floral one was just the skirt version of your blog about floral frocks.

I love the green top, and I thought the brown top looked quite cute too, and would work with a slim fitting pair of trousers.

can I also add, unless you have great sentimental attachment to your belt (worn in the pics with your jeans), I'd be losing it as it creates a very dominant focal point right down your body near your hips, a long way from your pretty face. If you need to wear a belt, find one with a discreet buckle that blends with your jeans.

I thought the shorts on the right were most flatteirng, they'd be really cute with a pair of ballet flats and feminine top.

I'm so jealous about how cheap you can buy clothes, your $5 rack is our $25 rack!

That's economy of scale for you.

Christine - that's a great color for bridesmaid dresses!

Ellem - from the front that skirt is just another just-above-the-knee pencil skirt. And I didn't want to publish a picture of me from behind. ;)

Chrs - I'm really glad I got that top. I wore it to church today (with the white linen trousers and pearls) and got good reviews.

Jennifer - I probably will. :)

Beth - Why be sorry for that? ;)

I don't think any of those skirts suit your idiom. When I first saw the brown on brown, I thought it was a dress. I also thought it was M, not you. The floral is too romantic, and the hot pink with zipper is too attention-grabbing.

Sorry, I just always imagine you in a shapely sheath.

I think you should keep the brown skirt and see if it works for you. At that price it would be a good experiment on the length.

I have had (almost exactly) that green shirt since December 2006. Yours looks less shiny, though.
