I did that with my bridesmaids’ dresses, too. Ironically, three of them wound up wearing the exact same pattern (not too surprising, it was my sisters) and the fourth chose something that had the same basic neckline and shape. So it looked like I’d matched them all, after all.
Glad you liked the bridesmaid idea. I can’t remember why I came up with it, but everyone got a dress that they liked.
