Some weekend reading for you:
Fascinating conversation about colored jeans at StyleBites.
- This idea, from anonymous commenter, I love: She wanted some teal ones too but is kinda broke after her latest shopping spree… was thinking of getting them for her birthday but the next thing I know she took her old plain blue ones and dyed them teal! they look simply amazing and the dye was only like 2 pounds or something…
- Additional color schemes to watch out for: DIY camo (green and brown), halloween (orange, or even coral, and black).
- Seriously, I just saw a junior higher, a GUY, walking down the street in front of my house wearing skinny GRAPE purple jeans, black t-shirt, black shoes. A daring look at any age!
Guest post at The Bargain Queen: Glamorous Maternity Wear for Less, written by Chrissie of Fashion on a Shoestring. From Pregnancy Chic: The Fashion Survival Guide, my favorite maternity tip is to continue to wear some pre-pregnancy pieces (cardigans, tees, and blazers, as well as accessories) in combination with maternity clothes. Okay, that’s not my VERY favorite tip. My very favorite? Maintain your natural style personality (paraphrase).
Blestwithsons offers a refreshing perspective on the VA Tech tragedy.
Jennifer @ Snapshot asked this haunting question: What Would You Do if You Could Not Fail?
I’m still musing on that one. Other than rearrange my sidebars …

I had a long green overdyed denim skirt some years ago that I wore until it literally fell apart. If the colours are right, the look is great — if they are off they just look wrong. I saw some “chocolate” ones that also had bleaching a while ago. Just ask me how awful they looked!
Wendy, I don’t think I need to ask. Ugh!
this last time i was pregnant, i felt like i looked the best because i paired maternity jeans with non-maternity tops (until the last few weeks when i was too big). i bought some of the extra long t shirts from old navy in a bigger size, so they were more fitted in the belly, which i love.
i mean, it’s the only time when it’s cute to have a belly, aside from when you’re a baby!
also, the junior high boys on my street are always in the skinny jeans skateboarding all over the place.
Thanks for the link love babe!
Muah!
