WFMW: Pin-free Name Buttons

More awesome tips at Rocks in My Dryer.

Who wants to poke a hole in their nice clothes, just to display who you are? But sometimes we have no choice. This week I am involved with a youth theatre production and wearing this enormous metal button on my lovely suede jacket.

Being held in place by a great big magnet. Oh yeah!imgp3225.JPG

  1. Oh! This is so smart! I am going to pass this on to the teachers at school. I hate it when they send pins home and we have a little one here at home. They are so dangerous! — the pins, not the little ones.

  2. There is another danger, though, with little ones, and that’s the magnet itself (choking). The one I’m using here is WAY too big to present any problem.

And doesn’t everyone love playing with magnets? 😉

  3. Oh yeah! A lot of the name badges for workplaces are now magnetic. And you can make them chase each other if you’re bored. No need to ask how I discovered this …

  4. This particular one I had no trouble with, but the magnet was huge. I just grabbed it off my refrigerator.

I did have one instance when the name tag I was given to wear was magnetic, but somehow I jarred the front loose from the back and lost the magnetic back. I couldn’t find it anywhere! Until I got undressed that evening – it was stuck to my underwire!

    LOL
