Hmm…Is yellow popular… Not that I’m aware of. I don’t live in a “southern belle,” “deep south” kind of area though. We have such a diverse cross section of people that really anything goes.

I have a drop waist printed skirt with a bright yellow in it, and a pair of sandals with hot colours … yellow/fushia/orange and white soles (they sound loud, but the straps are skinny and they go perfectly with the skirt). So there’s my yellow.

I would add to the sparkle suggestions metallic coloured handbags (I like the muted metallics myself) — they also go day to evening.

I’m a Pucci print. Definitely!

I’m kind of liking the yellow! Can’t say I’ve tried on the bright shades out there now, but it could be fun. I’m loving the idea of a black, white, and yellow skirt! Sign me up for that one!

As far as what print? I love this! I think I’d be a big all-over floral. Nothing cutesy, but definitely feminine. Fun question!

Jenn ~ I bet you’d look great for spring in a black or black/white top with a black/white/yellow skirt. But why force it? It’s more frugal to just say no.

Add me to the “no yellow” crowd. I might be able to pull off a pale yellow mixed in with something else-but a strong yellow tends to make me look sallow. I could probably pull something off in a skirt or something. . ..

like your pattern question. I would definitely be a very large black and white houndstooth - bold and direct, intense and with an expected and consistent twist.

I love yellow! Whether I should or not. I just pulled out a silky thin knit oversized saturated yellow vest and wore it with a new leaf green shirt - I’m craving green - and eggplant pants. I normally would never, ever wear green and yellow but these 2 exact shades worked for me. I got rid of all my vests, too, of every kind but this one looks fine with a shirt peeking out from under.

OK, starting the Yellow Shoe Fund right now! Maybe we can skip eating for a few days. Your idea of “cost per wear” is helping me with the impulse buys (which for me, tend to be at the thrift store, but still they add up)!

Y’know, Beck, I suspect the shudder has something to do with the quality of light in the north. Around here, many, if not most, people feel the same way you and I do. But when I wrote my style personality quizilla, I got in trouble with my friend in TX for not including yellow or peach as an option for favorite color.
