If I had a figure like hers, I'd wear them, too ;) I balked at the low rise, but now I do like the effect of cutting my hips in half that the moderately low rise jeans give me. I'm curvy but also have a small waist, so they fit me really well. High-waisted AND skinny-leg, however, is a different story. They just won't do. Wider trousers are a bit more forgiving. Suspenders work best, I think, if you have a boyish figure. On me, not so much! I guess our ages are showing, aren't they? I think pretty much the only style type that likes suspenders are the innovators/trendsetters. I like the idea okay, but I'd never really wear them. Kinda reminds me of Steve Urkel. :) But...That's probably just me! I don't do fads much unless I adore them. And I'm sure I'll learn to adjust. I do like high-waisted skirts though. I've worn skirts exclusively for all my more-or-less grown-up life, except for hiking through underbrush, but it's just not working that well now that I spend so much time sitting cross-legged on the floor. But I don't have a clue what to look for in pants. How are they supposed to fit? What silhouettes should I look for? (I guess I'm an hourglass, although after two pregnancies and a c-section in the past two years, the sand is sifting down a bit.) I don't want anything that draws attention to my hips for sure, but I hate boring, baggy clothes. I could really use a whole tutorial on pants.
